We spent our first night on the road right outside of Leavenworth, WA, and woke early to try our luck at a walk-in Enchantments permit. When our names weren't drawn, we headed to Deception Pass trailhead a couple hours west and hiked the six miles up to Tuck Lake.
The first four miles were breezy, but the final two were grueling. Luckily we were greeted with expansive views of Mt Daniels and Cathedral Rock as we set up camp. Now we're en route to British Columbia where we'll adventure around until catching a ferry in Prince Rupert to Alaska on August 9th.
