The hike up to Tuck Lake was pretty rough for me. I hadn’t worn my boots in a few months and it showed. However, after the hours long march up the mountain we were rewarded with some pretty spectacular views.

One of my favorite things to do while backpacking in the summer months is photographing the night sky. With a sturdy tripod and a lot of patience you can get some pretty amazing images. I made this photograph with my Canon 6D, 20mm lens at f/2.8 with a 25 second exposure. I hope to make a lot more photos like this in the weeks to come!
